Thursday…

So Monday I watched my sisters kids all day, watched my friend's 2 kids for a couple of hours, add Ryan to the mix and the 6 of them wore me out. Ryan sure had fun though.

Tuesday I took Ryan to music time at the library where she had a blast dancing. That night it was our turn to help clean the church.

Wednesday I took Ryan to the summer movie program going on at Harkins.

So today I planned to stay home and get all my laundry done. I usually set aside 1 day to clean house, do laundry, etc. It's also a day to kinda relax and not worry about going anywhere. I even had dinner planned and was going to have it done all ready to eat by 5. Well...I put Ryan in panties to discover a short time later that she has diarrhea (luckily she told me she had to go stink so it was mainly in her panties). Into the tub she went. Cleaned the toilet, messy panties, and floor around the toilet. Didn't want to risk having another accident so into a pull-up she went. Cleaned. Did 1 load of laundry. #2 trip to the bathroom for Ryan. Luckily no bath required this time. Did another load of laundry. Found Ryan without a diaper on sitting on a blanket saying she needed a new one. Trip #3 to the bathroom. All the while smiling and saying, "It's okay. Good job telling mommy you had to go potty." Changed another load of laundry only to discover black/brown flakes all over the clothes (googled and found it is soap build-up). Inspected every piece of clothing to get all the flakes off. Ran a cleansing load through washer. Put the clothes through the washer again. Put Ryan down for a nap. What a day and it's only 3:30 pm...I sure hope my washer is cleaned (I still have a lot of laundry to do including the blanket Ryan decided to sit on after #3 accident in diaper) and that Ryan starts feeling better. What does the rest of the day have in store?

Another Birthday…

We celebrated 2 birthdays in May. Billy’s was May 5th and I turned 26 on May 31st! I had a great day just spending time with family. Ryan and I helped Billy move all his work stuff to his new office (if you haven’t heard yet, Billy was transferred to a different high school next year. He will be teaching at Mountain View in Mesa. It’s about a 30 min. commute so no more coming home for lunch and riding his bike 2 min. to work. He’s been at Desert Ridge for 5 years so this is a big change for him….and the fact that he’s moving from a 2 man faculty to a seminary that has 10 teachers! He’s going to miss Desert Ridge a lot and being close to home, but he’s excited for this new change and learning experience).

After helping Billy move all his stuff we went to lunch at Firehouse Subs (1 of the many places that give free food on your birthday). Ryan and I enjoyed a nice afternoon taking naps and spending time together. We then went to Joe’s Farm Grill for free dinner and then stopped at Krispy Kreme for free doughnuts. It was great not having to do dishes! It was a wonderful day!

We were almost about to forgo the doughnuts, but we knew Ryan would love the treat. I think we even let her eat 2!
