Dani Jo Blair

Dani Jo Blair joined our family on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 7:46 pm. She weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz. and was 19 3/4 in. long. It’s amazing how much instant love you have when you have another child. We are so grateful to Heavenly Father for giving us this beautiful baby girl to be part of our eternal family. Birth story to come.

Ryan was so excited to get Dani a balloon when she was born. She was talking about it for days before I gave birth. She kept saying, “Dani get a pink balloon. Ryan get red.” She’s very sweet.

Dani has been getting lots of presents and we wanted to make sure Ryan still felt loved and didn’t feel left out. Ryan went with Billy to “The Princess Store” (aka Disney Store) yesterday and they picked out some fun presents. So from Dani, Mommy, and Daddy Ryan got a Cinderella crown and matching shoes that light up (Billy said that she liked everything in the store that it was hard to get an idea of what she wanted, but once she saw the shoes she couldn’t take her eyes off them…he knew he found the winner). We also wanted her to have an actual toy to play with so she also came home with princess figurines to go along with some Cinderella figurines she got for Christmas. She’s been in heaven ever since!

First thing this morning (before even coming into our room) Ryan put on her Cinderella shoes!

Just Talkin’ About the Weather…

When I heard and saw this on the news this week it was music to my ears! Yes the high is still between 99-105, but I’ll take that over constant 110+ weather that we’ve been having for the past weeks; and it doesn’t get cool in the evening like it does in other places. This is better, but we’re sure looking forward to fall and lower temps.

Oh, and for all you wondering out there, no baby yet! I told Billy that the closer we get to my due date the chances just keep getting better and better that it’s the day she’s coming. Makes me feel better thinking that yes, we will have this baby; we will be holding her soon!

Oh, Baby, Baby!

Here’s another belly pic. I’m 37 weeks pregnant and starting to feel all those pregnancy symptoms you hear/read about. My dr. did an ultrasound last week to measure how big this baby girl is. It’s estimated that as of last week she was about 6 lbs. 3 oz. My belly definitely shows that this baby is taking up all the room I have. Ryan weighed 7 lbs. 13.5 oz. My dr. had the idea of possibly inducing me a week early since Ryan was almost 8 lbs., but for now, we’re letting her come when she wants. I’ve  had a lot of contractions (some of which have made me nauseous and sick), backache (I think I was up for about 2 hrs in the middle of the night last night), achy, and other symptoms that I won’t mention here. Whenever I lay down Ryan instantly says, “Mommy sick? Need a dr.” and then proceeds to get out her dr. kit. She’s caught on real quick that mommy doesn’t feel very well sometimes at night. We’re excited for this little girl to come!
