Billy's Creation

Billy came home from work one day last week with this huge box. His plan: make Ryan a clubhouse. He made Ryan that clubhouse and it turned out really cute.

Ryan has found another love...opening my kitchen cupboards to lots of new toys. Billy made the front door have "hinges" so that Ryan can open and close it just like the kitchen cupboars.
He made a doggy door at the back that she can crawl through.

Thanks Daddy for making me my "Little House."

No Pain, No Gain

I have had a goal to workout 3 times per week. I don't have a membership to a gym so I rely on doing things at home, with a 1 year old running around. I knew that I needed some guidance as far as what to do, how many reps, and something to push myself. I started doing The Biggest Loser Workout DVD, then upgraded to The Biggest Loser: Boot Camp Workout DVD. I have a friend who knows I've been trying to workout and invited me to go to her gym (YMCA) to do a boot camp. It was 1 hr. and the core workout consisted of 4 sets of 25 each: squats, push-ups, and sit-ups; with 1 lap between each set. This was then followed by some other crazy leg balancing, ab crunching stuff. It was a hard workout. I enjoyed it, but am definitely feeling the effects today. My abs have been so sore. It doesn't help that I have a cold and flinch every time I cough.

The Children's Museum

On Friday 3/19 we took Ryan to the Children's Museum of Phoenix. The museum was big and had tons of stuff to do. It was a kid's oasis. They had a noodle forest that Ryan enjoyed going through.

Taking a breather.
We took Ryan outside for a little bit and she chased birds the entire time.

Spring Break: 3/13-3/20/10

We had a lot of fun during Spring Break. Instead of traveling to CA to visit family we opted to stay home and do some fun things around here. Billy took 3 days off. We went to the Science Center on Saturday 3/13. Ryan loved it.
I looked at this picture and couldn't believe how big my little girl is getting.
The Science Center was 3 floors. Each floor had a different theme. The bed of nails was pretty fun for Billy and I.
Ryan loved how the blowing air made the ball stay up in the air.

An Afternoon Hike

Yesterday we went for a nice Sunday drive and hike. There are a lot of places to hike around near our house. With such much rain this winter it made for a nice scenic walk. It was green everywhere. We walked down by the river. We wanted to see how far we could walk before Ryan would follow....she never did follow; she was having so much fun we ended up having to go get her.

My Attempt at a Great Deal...

I'm always interested in a great deal....as long as it's something I'm already going to buy and beneficial. I have been going to a few blogs where the bloggers go to multiple stores, use lots of coupons, and save a lot of money. Sometimes it seems complicated and time consuming but these people DO save a lot of money. I have never been one to cut out tons of coupons, go to multiple stores, etc...BUT I have been interested and fascinated with how much money people can save doing this. I recently read about a great deal at Safeway on a blog. It was a simple transaction and I had the coupons. My attempt was successful. I bought: 6 boxes of cereal, 1 box of fruit snacks, 3 Nut Clusters, and 2 lbs. of strawberries for $8.56! I was pretty proud of myself. I might even attempt to do it again in the future.
