I love this picture. Ryan’s eyes are so cute (Ryan’s preferred word choice)
sit down....stay awhile...have a glass of lemonade if you choose. This is the tale of our comings and goings. A small window into our life.
As I looked through these pictures thoughts of summer and the heat came flooding back into my mind. Oh, how I’m glad it’s fall and FINALLY starting to feel like it. I love AZ; Billy and I moved here 6 years ago. We love it here, but every summer it’s tough.
During the girls and my last week in CA we spent the day with our good friends Dave and Sue Clark. Dave and Sue are family to us. They are always doing such sweet things for the girls. We took the girls swimming and they had a blast.
Baking with Auntie Mindy. Always a treat.
The girls, minus Dani who was taking a nap.

Pyper is so sweet to Dani. While I was getting ready one day she entertained Dani.
Bubbles from Grandpa.
Fun with Auntie Emmy.
My dad and Donna came down the day we left. There was more baking of cupcakes and cinnamon rolls.

(I can’t remember what Ryan was sad about it)
The plane ride home…all 3 of us were super anxious to see Daddy!
I’m here…honestly I am so behind on blogging that updating the blog is overwhelming and most nights I just sigh, and decide to wait for another day. But with birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays happening I know I’m just going to get further and further behind.
After visiting Billy’s family in Lancaster we headed down south to a family reunion with my side of the family. Every year my family gets together (immediate family) and we spend a few days together. This year we spent a few days down at a beach house in San Clemente. It was a lot of fun with every day being spent in the sun.
Ryan helping Uncle Brandon drive the boat.
Girl cousins…they had a blast!
Early Monday morning all the guys went deep sea fishing.
Dani getting a much needed nap (poor girl was forced to nap in all different places) with her daddy.
On Tuesday we went kayaking and paddle boating. It was a lot of fun and a great workout.
Uncle Billy earning points with the kids and nieces.
Pretty much what Ryan and her cousins did every day.
Surfin’ with daddy.
The reunion was from Friday to Wednesday. Billy and I and Mindy’s family stayed until Friday morning. We then headed up to Mindy’s home we spent a couple more days before Billy headed home and the girls and I stayed for another week. Dani and Aunt Mimi.
Here are the last of the pictures from our vacation to Lancaster. We had so much fun with family.

On 4th of July we spent some time with one of Billy’s friends and college roommate, Spud Dunn. His wife Lindsey is so sweet and they have adorable little girls.
Billy’s mom Martha totally rocked on 4th of July fun. The grandkids kept getting surprise after surprise each day. She made it so much fun that Ryan and Dani were sad to leave. 4th of July included a pinata and fireworks.
This is about what Ryan looked like just about every night when everyone stopped moving for more than 2 min. She was so tired from playing all. day. long.
The cousins, minus Rick and Wendy’s kids.
L-R: Dexter, Jeremiah, Joseph, Ryan, Ammon, Dani
I wish I could have brought Ammon home with me.
We had an awesome vacation this year…spending 1 week in Lancaster and 1 week with my family. Ryan loved playing with her cousins all day long!
Ryan with cousin Jo Jo. They were digging around in the dirt and planting a garden.
There is 1 thing we love about our visits to Grandma and it’s all the great cooking. The grandkids loved to cook with her. We missed Rick and his family.
(L-R: Ryan, Jo Jo, Mia, Dexter, Ammon)
These 3 are in almost every picture together. They played together the entire time. It was really cute to see how sweet they were to Ryan and Dani. I wished with lived closer to each other so they could play all the time.
One of the nights we were there all the kids had a campout in the backyard.
We also celebrated Jo Jo’s 7th birthday. He got this huge bear
And Jo Jo wasn’t the only one who fell in love with it. My cute Dani!
Having a campfire in the backyard. Hughie and Martha’s backyard is awesome!
