Superstition Mountains

These are some pictures of a hike Billy and I went on a few weeks ago. He went on part of the hike with his friend the week before. The first couple of pictures are from that day. It was early in the morning and really foggy. It had been pouring rain the day before so it was really moist and wet. The fog prevented them from completing the entire hike so Billy and I went the next week.

These are pictures from the hike Billy and I went on together. The hike is 2 trails that become one. You can start from either trail and go a certain distance. After you've gone about 2 miles the trail ends. There is a canyon that separates both trails. With the help of a map and Billy's expertise at directions we were able to do the entire loop, including the canyon. The canyon took a long time because there wasn't any trail and it was full of a lot of brush. There were cacti everywhere and bushes that had thorns all over them. Thankfully we made it through without any problems. The hike is about 5 miles long. It's really fun and because of the rain, it was very green, something a little unusual for Arizona. The weather right now is actually quite wonderful. It is very hot during the summer months, but the winter and spring are great. The temperature everyday has been in the 70s. We are enjoying it because we know in about 2 months it'll be a different story.
Billy did take the YM on this same hike yesterday and they had a lot of fun.
